Now in beautiful historic downtown New Albany

We've just passed one year in our new downtown office. I could say we celebrated but that would be a lie. The year mark came and went...much like the year. Our new space is great and we've kept pace with our growing commercial photography client base. Right now I'm testing the new Blogger app on my iPhone. Should make blog updates easy and relevant to current happenings here at Morris Images. Location photography begs for good mobile marketing. The event this year featured the "red carpet" treatment for all of the finalist for the lunch attended by 376 business and community leaders.

Bruce Morris Cheesecake Extraordinaire!

Before your mind wonders to "cheesecake photos", let us explain. Bruce will share his cheesecake baking talents with the Courier-Journal readers on Wednesday, March 24th for the Cooks Corner. Watch the paper for the details of how he's become Southern Indiana's "Top Cheesecake Chef" and he'll share some of his favorite recipes. Jenna, writer for the food section of the Courier Journal made a visit to our home tonight for the interview and photo. A word of advice. If you brag about your husband and his cooking on facebook, you might just come home to greet a photographer and writer in your kitchen too! Floyd Memorial Health Scope March/April Health Scope magazine is in your mail box now. Morris Images photographed the cover shot on this current issue it was a challenge but turned out great. Working in the operating room is sure different from being in surgery in the operating room. Look for us to photograph this year's covers as well as many of the inside spread shots. We'll be working with their Marketing Department all year on their photography projects.

This is a very useful community magazine aimed at educating us with the latest in health care. Floyd provides all kinds of free health information and free screenings. New Albany Fire Dept 100 years later

I just got off the phone with the New Albany Fire Department. They have a photo of the firefighters and fire apparatus created on Flag Day, February 24, 1910. We're going to re-create this photograph with today's firefighters and fire apparatus. The project will be complete in March so come back to see the early 1910 photo compared to 2010. And I'll try to let you know what day to stay away from Spring Street as we'll be closing down the street for this photography in front of the Carnegie Center.

You may not realize that Bruce served on the McCullouch Fire Department for 12 years and was a certified First Class Firefighter. That was back in our dating days. We did have an engine company at our wedding and reception which ended with a two alarm fire.

Had the opportunity to meet with the Burton's of Burton's Maplewood Farm. The National Syrup Festival is held in Medora, IN near the Burton's farm the first two weekends in March. Indiana is one of the leading producers of maple syrup. Burton's Maplewood syrup can be enjoyed at five star restuarants throughout the United States. Tim Burton routinely visits and entertains famous chefs. The day we visited he had recently spoke by phone to Emeril. BAM! Make time to attend the festival this March.
